Emali Early Learning Centre - Morphett Vale

Emali Early Learning Centre Morphett Vale was constructed by TSDB in 2016.

The new Emali flagship facility is uniquely designed with aesthetic appeal from the external landscape through to the internal finishes. The single storey, timber engineered building was designed to nurture the most precious part of life, children.

Won as a lump sum tender, the project was handed over to the client with no construction WHS matters and within budget.

Emali Early Learning Centre - Morphett Vale

Construction

The children’s safety is paramount to Emali and we worked closely with our client to add and develop the design to incorporate new safety features, more fun for the children and improved learning areas. It comprises of five activity rooms, three preparation areas and a larger kitchen, and has the ability to host 85 children ranging from 0-5 years old. Large commercial aluminium windows allow natural light to flood the internal areas, whilst the warm LED lighting helps the staff to care for the children when the daylight is gone. Prior to construction the site required extensive civil works to be undertaken, which included a retaining wall around the perimeter of the site and approximately 2,500t of fill imported. All work which was completed in house by the TSDB civil crew throughout one of Adelaide’s more challenging winters.
