Allity Walkerville

TSDB undertook the full refurbishment to Walkerville Aged Care, located in the peaceful inner northern suburbs and built on the shores of the River Torrens and the Adelaide Linear Park near the Walkerville Shopping Centre.

The works undertaken by TSDB were done over 3 stages as to minimise disruption to Allity operations and residence while major internal upgrades and reconfigurations were carried out. The reception and administration areas were relocated, as was the hair salon and large cafe - all with new services provisions and high end fitout and joinery included.

TSDB refurbished 2 new large lounge areas with a gas fire place and stone finish. All services to all lifestyle areas underwent upgrades and reconfigurations and all final applied finishes and fitout works were also part of the brief.

During these works we also converted 7 new ancillary areas such as a pool room, staff room and laundry into a new high end bedroom and ensuite configurations and converted a number of shared ensuite double rooms into singles with each having their own.

We are also carrying out an extensive program to build in a number of new fire walls throughout the entire facility to assist in reclassification and certification compliance and the upgrade to over 60 bedrooms and ensuites.

Allity Carinya

TSDB undertook the full refurbishment to Carinya, an Allity Aged Care Facility located in the leafy suburb of Myrtlebank. This existing facility includes a large heritage home at the front and has extensive additions to the South, housing 62 residence. The works included a number of structural changes to the various built forms including the large stone walls, and a number of external works.

This included the conversion of existing operational and administrate areas into 3 new bedrooms with ensuites which required an extension to one area also. We undertook the design and construction of a new large port cochere to the front of the facility and design and modifications to 2 other large external canopies located in the internal courtyards.

Internally we reconfigured and upgraded all services and carried out extensive fitout including the new dining areas, new salon, new reception and administration spaces, and new waiting and kitchenette spaces. The fitout is to a high level of finish and quality and included a large amount of joinery and speciality applied finishes.

Carinya houses a specialist Memory Support Unit for residents with dementia who require specialised and sensitive, care to support their individual needs. TSDB have also undertaken works to provide new nurses station and kitchenette to this wing and new bring on line bedrooms. We are also undertaking the rolling refurbishment works of all 59 remaining bedrooms to further enhance this great facility.

Allity Charles Young

TSDB undertook the full refurbishment to Allity Aged Care Charles Young located in Morphettville, walking distance to the Sturt River and surrounding parklands.

The works undertaken by TSDB were done over a number of stages as to minimise disruption to Allity operations and residence while major internal upgrades and reconfigurations were carried out. The reception and administration areas were relocated, as was the hair salon and large cafe - all with new services provisions and high end fitout and joinery included.

TSDB refurbished 2 new large lounge areas, both with large gas fire places and stone finish. All services to all lifestyle areas underwent upgrades and reconfigurations and all final applied finishes and fitout works were also part of the brief.

During these works we also converted 9 new ancillary areas such as a laundry, some offices and a men's shed, into new bedroom and ensuite configurations. Other ancillary areas such as new men's shed, kitchen external link walkway enclosure, store areas and temporary Salon were also included. External works included the construction of a very large port cochere over the front door of the facility.

TSDB are also in the process of upgrading 50 existing bedrooms and ensuites and the construction of 7 new bedroom areas including a wing extension of 5 bedrooms to the front of the facility.

Woodend Primary

Woodend Primary School is part of the Building the Education Revolution projects. The original design was for a standard 4 room GLA building as per the reference designs.

The proposed buildings required redesign to suit the extreme slope of the property and the requirement to remain within the bounds of the existing titles.

A new design linking into the existing building levels utilising a suspended concrete floor slab was implemented providing functional spaces in keeping with the BER standard design storage beneath the facility for grounds keeping and provision of a paved play area.

These include:

Ramps and verandas to transportable buildings

Upgrade of the tech and arts area

Upgrade to the south path and covered learning area

Maintenance and upgrade of staff room and refurbished BBQ area

McIntyre Medical

This project is a brand new Medical Facility which accommodates up to 12 consulting rooms, nurses office, 2 treatment rooms, ambulance holding room, dispensary and 2 Phlebotomy, along with all the front of house and administrative support functions.

The project was originally designed by Garry Coff (Architect) for planning approval. TSDB won the D&C tender to refine and complete the design, gain approvals and construct.

Hackham Baptist

The primary objective of this design was to provide a functional and comfortable auditorium with cafe' and youth room for use within the Hackham community.

The splash oh red and contrasting colour is designed to offer a warm and friendly environment for patients. The extensive use of white for the interior was used to brighten the interior, contrasting feature walls were used to add character to the rooms. The use of Bi-fold doors allows for flexibility to the facilities and provides natural light and ventilation.

TSDB worked closely with the client we were able to deliver the church a quality building within their allocated budget, and provided strategic advice and assistance for master planning and staging for the site.

Glenside Campus Pharmacy Fitout

With growth of Glenside Health Campus, TSDB was engaged to deliver a Pharmacy with a consultation room as a turnkey package, which was designed by Swanbury Penglase.

The Pharmacy design allows for an improved and efficient delivering of medication to the clients within the campus and also allows clients the option to purchase medications directly. The new facility accommodates up to 12 fulltime staff.

The project involved an addition to the existing rehab building and a refurbishment to the existing building. TSDB was given a 20 week turn around time to start and complete the project. TSDB completed the project ahead of schedule including fit out, furniture, fixtures, equipment and defects free.

Two storey Science and Language Centre including a Resource Facility, Lift, Laboratories, General Learning areas and central Atrium. All built on a very tight site. The project also incorporated installation of a 165,000 Rainwater tank for recycling and extensive balconies.

Edge Kids Findon

TSDB was engaged to transform an existing domestic house into a commercial and modern building. This included removing the exisiting pitched roof and alterations to existing internal and external walls and additonal areas added to building foot print.

The skillion roofline and rendered existing brick with large aluminium glazed windows create a model feel; with the use of large canopy areas to the rear this provides shelter from the weather to play areas. A large rendered brick with timber screen wall was installed along Grange Road boundary to allow a safe area for kids to play in.

TSDB worked closely with the interior designer and client to ensure vibrant and interesting learning spaces had been created.

Sunrise Marion

This two story building comprises of ICT labs, music suites, technical studies facilities, home economics, art resources and library/resource centre.

The existing native gum trees on site presented a challenge in the design and construction of this unique building, however, the design was overcome by making the building hug the tree line, which allows it to blend into the site and the trees provide a natural privacy screen.
